Thin Mint GSC which is a 50%:50% hybrid and averages at 24% THC, and is itself a cannabis community favourite being one of the more popular Girl Scout Cookies phenotypes; its other parent, Sunset Sherbert, sometimes also known simply as Gelato, is more indica dominant with a ratio of 85%:15%, and while it carries a lesser THC count of 10%-19% on average, it does also typically embody 1% CBD, making it more ideal for medical usage. Description of Gelato 33

Gelato is a cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, name in homage to its sweet aroma. Also known as Larry Bird, Gelato (#33) was first cultivated in Northern California’s Bay Area and is derives from a deep bank of genetics. Create by the Cookie Family, the Sherbinskis family, and cultivator Mario Guzman.

However,If you’re the type who loves their dessert after dinner, it might be time to scoop up some Gelato #33. This strain has an interesting lineage.  San Francisco breeders at Cookie Fam Genetics have dished up quite a few phenotypes of the bud over the years. Named after Larry Bird, believe it or not, holds itself in a category of her own – and for good reason.

Moreover, The cultivators parted ways following its creation. The cultivator who possesses the most “stable version” of Gelato 33 genetics is up for debate. Again, Cookies cultivates a few phenotypes and descendants of the strain named Gelato #42, Dolce Gelato, and a sun-grown Gelato.

Besides, Sherbinskis grows four stabilized Gelato phenotypes in its rotation as well. Gelato #41 (Bacio Gelato), Gelato #43 (Gello Gelato). Gelato #47 (Mochi Gelato), and Gelato #49 (Acai Berry Gelato). Per Sherbinskis, the #33 phenotype is no longer in cultivation.

Grow information

Equally important,  The strain is consider a challenge to grow, and each phenotype expresses different growth characteristics. Indoors, it produces relatively short plants with dark, magenta buds. Specifically, typically mature within 8-9 weeks of entering the 12/12 flowering cycle. Outdoor growers can expect Gelato to reach maturity by mid-October in the Northern Hemisphere, and mid-March in the Southern Hemisphere.
